Last February 23, 2025, the elementary scholars of the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. (PJPS) gathered at Loyola Retreat House - Angono, Rizal, for a day filled with reflection, creativity, and spiritual growth. Guided by Jesuit Brothers and Ateneo Grade School teachers, the young scholars explored the theme "Pagmamahal sa mga nilikha ng Panginoon."
The recollection featured four engaging stations, each designed to help the children connect with God’s creation and reflect on their own role in caring for it:
🎨 Station 1: Love Through Art – Scholars poured their hearts into creating beautiful artworks and heartfelt letters for their parents and guardians, expressing their love and gratitude.
🏃 Station 2: Learning Through Play – In an open space, the scholars enjoyed interactive games with Jesuit Brothers, fostering camaraderie and teamwork while discovering lessons in faith.
🌍 Station 3: Caring for Creation – Through an informative session with a projector and multimedia presentation, the children learned about the impact of improper waste disposal and their responsibility to care for the environment.
🎶 Station 4: Music and Reflection – A peaceful space filled with instruments and quiet reflection, where scholars connected with their spirituality through music and prayer.
This heartwarming recollection was made possible through the dedication of many. Special thanks to the Jesuit Brothers, Ateneo Grade School teachers, retired educators, and our partners, especially UBE EXPRESS, for ensuring our scholars and their families had safe and comfortable transportation
Through this recollection, our scholars not only deepened their faith but also strengthened their love for God’s creation and the people who care for them. May these young hearts continue to grow in faith, love, and responsibility.
